The Dissociative Disorders Internet Forum, is a privately owned list not affiliated with ISSTD, the International Society for the Study of Trauma and Dissociation (www.isst-d.org). It is a popular way of networking with colleagues around the world concerning clinical and research issues that relate to trauma and dissociation. The list was originally one of the St.John's University Maelstrom lists. It was started by Peter Barach, PhD. Current List owner/moderator is Richard A. Chefetz, MD. The List also employs a team of moderators: Sharon Hoferer, Ph.D., Gloria Rodberg, Ph.D., and Ava Schlesinger, LCSW.

Forum membership is free and open to licensed mental health professionals and their supervisees, graduate students enrolled in a mental health curriculum, and researchers who have published on relevant topics in peer-reviewed journals.

You have two choices in regard to how to sign up for the listserv:

1. click here to send an email message containing only the following line in the text box (leave the subject line blank):

(replace “Pat Smith” with your own full name and professional degree, of course).

You will receive a response telling you how to submit proof of professional credentials to the list moderator.
